Perry County School District #32 welcomes back middle school students after devastating storms
PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Students at Perry County School District #32’s middle school returned to class, nearly two weeks after a devastating storm tore through the area, causing widespread destruction and disrupting the educational routine.
The storms, which struck on March 15, brought high winds, heavy rainfall, and large hail, resulting in significant damage to several buildings within the district, including the middle school.
As the students settle back into their routine, district officials are expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support from the community.
The district is continuing to assess the long-term impact of the storms and is working to develop a plan to address any ongoing needs.
In the meantime, students, faculty, and staff are focused on moving forward, rebuilding, and recovering.
