Moped driver seriously injured in 3-vehicle crash on US 67

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — A three-vehicle crash involving a moped, SUV and pickup truck on northbound U.S. 67 in Butler County left a 62-year-old Neelyville man seriously injured.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred Monday around 5:30 p.m. when the moped driver failed to yield and was struck by the SUV and the towed unit of the pickup truck.

The moped driver was flown to a Memphis hospital with serious injuries. The drivers of the SUV and pickup truck were not injured.

The moped driver was not wearing a helmet, and the moped was totaled. The SUV sustained moderate damage, while the pickup truck was undamaged.
