Wanted individual arrested in Johnston City on methamphetamine charge

JOHNSTON CITY, Ill., (KBSI) — A wanted individual was arrested Tuesday evening after a traffic stop in Johnston City.

Kenneth L. Johnson was taken into custody without incident after deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit observed him leaving a gas station.

A search of Johnson yielded a bag containing methamphetamine, leading to his arrest on an outstanding Williamson County warrant and a citation for possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony.

Johnson was transported to the Williamson County Jail.
