Fatal crash on Bloomfield Road claims life of 35-year-old Cape Girardeau woman

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – A single-vehicle crash on Bloomfield Road claimed the life of the driver on Friday, April 4, 2025.

At approximately 10:58 a.m., Cape Girardeau Police Department officers responded to the 2000 block of Bloomfield Road, where a blue 2020 GMC Acadia had left the roadway and struck a mailbox and a large tree.

The driver and sole occupant, Ashley G. Braxton, 35, of Cape Girardeau, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Cape Girardeau Police Department Traffic Division is investigating the incident.
