Notre Dame Regional High School announces Valedictorian and Salutatorian for Class of 2025
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – Notre Dame Regional High School has named Matthew Austin as Valedictorian and Skylar Craft as Salutatorian for the Class of 2025.
Matthew Austin, Valedictorian
Academic Achievements: Austin earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT, was named a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, and received the Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship for the state of Missouri.
Awards and Honors: He was a French National Exam medalist, a medalist at the Southeast Missouri State Math Field Day Event, and received student of the year honors in multiple subjects.
Extracurricular Activities: Austin is an Eagle Scout, a five-time state qualifier in FBLA, and a varsity tennis player who has qualified for state three times.
Community Service: He has completed over 400 hours of community service, earned the Notre Dame Regional High School Christian Service Award, and serves as the regional president of the Second Serve non-profit.
Skylar Craft, Salutatorian
Academic Achievements: Craft is a Bright Flight Scholar, a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, and a member of Notre Dame’s National Honor Society chapter.
Awards and Honors: She has been on the academic A-Honor Roll all four years, was named student of the year in multiple subjects, and won the Springfield-Cape Girardeau Diocese’s Voice for Life poem contest.
Extracurricular Activities: Craft is a decorated three-sport athlete, playing volleyball, basketball, and soccer for Notre Dame, and has been named Academic All-State in volleyball.
Community Involvement: She is a member of Women in God’s Service (WinGs) club, Peer Helpers, and Student Ambassadors.
