Shooting in Sikeston leave one person injured

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – Sikeston DPS Officers responded to Ruth Street and Clayton Avenue for reports of gun shots, that injured one person Wednesday evening.

Upon arriving, officers discovered someone was shot, EMS was called in response to the injured person.

The Sikeston police say that the victim of the shooting was taken to the hospital ,where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries. The identity of the injured individual is not being released at this time.

The criminal Investigations unit will be investigating the incident moving forward.
