Carbondale police warn of telephone scam

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) – The Carbondale Police Department has received reports of a telephone scam in which the caller claims to be “Sergeant Randy Rodgers” and asks the recipient to call back about a legal matter.

The department has no employee by that name and urges those receiving such calls to consider it a scam.
