Cape Girardeau firefighters get rare chance at Marine Firefighting Training

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – Members of the Cape Girardeau Fire Department are set to enhance their emergency response capabilities after being selected to attend a specialized marine firefighting class at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Notably, this training opportunity is a rare occurrence, as it marks the first time in 20 years that such a course has been offered in Missouri.

The training is designed to equip the department’s personnel with advanced skills and knowledge, ultimately improving their service delivery to the community they serve.
