1 arrested, 1 sought after burglaries in Perry County

PERRY COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – One person faces charges and another is wanted in the case of several burglaries in southeast Missouri.

Joseph Shelley was arrested, according to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies are still looking for Justin Bishop who is accused of being an accomplice.

The pair are allegedly responsible for five reported burglaries in the Highway T, Highway BB and surrounding areas.

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office warns residents to lock up any valuables and anything else you do not want stolen after numerous burglary reports in the Highway T, Highway BB and surrounding area.

Incidents have also been reported in the same area of Ste. Genevieve County.

The burglaries took place around daylight.
