Three juveniles stabbed in Franklin County fight

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — A fight in rural Franklin County on April 29 led to the stabbing of three juveniles, authorities said.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the fight around 10:19 p.m. and responded to the scene.

Deputies found individuals involved in the fight and were notified that others had arrived at a local hospital for treatment.

Two juvenile suspects were identified and charged with mob action, a Class 4 felony, and three counts of aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony.

The three juvenile victims received treatment for their injuries, with one transferred to an out-of-state medical facility.

The incident remains under investigation, and additional charges are possible.

The suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, said Sheriff Kyle Bacon.
