Three arrested in connection with McCracken County shooting
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Three people have been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a man in critical condition, authorities said.
The shooting occurred early Saturday morning near the intersection of Rosewood and Old Mayfield Road in Paducah. The victim, 31-year-old Robert N. Scott, was taken to Western Baptist Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and later flown to an out-of-state hospital.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office led the investigation, which resulted in the arrest of 35-year-old Jeremiah Brinson on Monday. Brinson was found with a stolen, loaded 9mm handgun and a small amount of cocaine.
A search warrant executed at a residence on Old Mayfield Road uncovered additional evidence, including a loaded .45-caliber handgun, cocaine, fentanyl pills and drug paraphernalia. Two others, 44-year-old Clinton L. Brewer and 23-year-old Zoey Smith, were arrested at the scene.
All three suspects were taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
