Perryville Mayfest celebrates 40 years with Wizard of Oz theme

PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Perryville Mayfest will mark its 40th anniversary Wednesday through Saturday with a Wizard of Oz-themed celebration.

The four-day event will feature a carnival, parade, live music and various activities.

Saturday’s schedule includes a 5K run at City Park, an art show at the Perry County Senior Center and live music performances throughout the day. Vendors and food options will also be available.

The festivities will begin Friday night with a 6 p.m. parade, followed by a performance by the band Champagne Fixx at 7 p.m.
