Share your thoughts: Paducah-McCracken MPO conducts transportation survey

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) — The Paducah-McCracken Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is inviting the public to participate in a transportation survey to help shape the region’s first Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP).

The MTP will serve as a long-term guide for transportation improvements in the region, which includes McCracken County, part of Livingston County, and Brookport, Illinois, through 2050.

“This plan will focus on safety, mobility, and connectivity,” said Paducah Mayor George Bray. “We encourage everyone to take the survey and share their priorities for local roads, transit, and safety.”

The survey, available online, takes 5-10 minutes to complete and will be open through May 16.

The MPO was designated in 2023 by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and other local and state agencies, making it eligible for federal grants to improve the region’s transportation system.

More information and the survey can be found on the Paducah-McCracken MPO website.
