Sammy’s window expands support for foster, adoptive families
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Sammy’s Window, a resource center for families with children in foster and adoptive care, has reaffirmed its commitment to providing free resources while introducing a new resale shopping model for the general public.
Effective immediately, all resources at Sammy’s Window remain free for families caring for children in foster and adoptive care. The center offers clothing, shoes, baby gear, school supplies, hygiene products and other essentials.
The new resale shopping model invites community members to purchase curated resale items at reduced prices, with all proceeds supporting FosterAdopt Connect’s programs and services in Cape Girardeau.
“We’re excited to offer affordable shopping opportunities to the community while generating crucial funding to expand our support and services,” said Terri Wunderlich, Resale Operations Manager at FosterAdopt Connect Sammy’s Window.
Under this new structure, members of the public can purchase resale items at the lowest marked price, directly funding FosterAdopt Connect’s initiatives and allowing the organization to serve more individuals in need.
Families in foster and adoptive care can continue to access resources as usual during operating hours. Community members interested in supporting the cause through shopping or donations are encouraged to visit and spread the word.
