Leadership Class makes a difference in Dexter cleanup

DEXTER, Mo., (KBSI) — Members of the 2025 Dexter Leadership Class recently participated in Clean Up Dexter, a community event aimed at beautifying one of the town’s busiest roads.

The event, held ahead of Dexter High School’s graduation and Mother’s Day, brought together leadership class members to pick up litter and demonstrate pride in their hometown.

Sonic Drive-In provided cold drinks to the volunteers, while Republic Services donated safety vests to ensure the group’s visibility and safety.

The event is part of the city’s efforts to maintain its appearance and foster community pride. Residents interested in hosting their own cleanup events can contact Dexter Parks & Recreation for supplies and support.
