Obion County student-athletes earn accolades in multiple sports

OBION COUNTY, Tenn., (KBSI) — Student-athletes from Obion County Schools have been recognized for their outstanding performances in softball, baseball and tennis.

South Fulton High School softball players Caroline Barclay and Avery Faulkner were named to the All-Tournament Team in District 14A, while Alli McFarland, Gabi Long, Lilie Martin and Barclay earned All-District Team honors.

Obion County Central High School softball players Audum Neblett and Addison Morphis received medals for achieving academic success all four years, while Piper Fraley and Carsen Brady-Elliott were named All-District.

In baseball, Obion County Central High School’s Braxton Bruce was named to the All-Tournament Team, while Poston Essary earned All-District honors. Gunner Herren, Jace Hall and Drake Little were recognized for their academic achievements.

The Obion County Central High School tennis team won district championships, with Elizabeth Woody taking the girls’ singles title, Hannah Strauser and Hannah Taylor winning the girls’ doubles title, and Olin Johnson claiming the boys’ singles title.

These student-athletes were recognized for their hard work, leadership and accomplishments.
