Fire Department hosts Community Baby Shower

Fruitland Fire And Rescue

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo (KBSI) – A community baby shower will connect parents to resources in the area.

The Fruitland Area Fire Protection District is hosting a Community Baby Shower Event again this year.

This event is completely free and will connect new and expecting parents to resources they may be eligible for.

Door prizes will also be handed out and information such as safe sleeping habits will also be available.

The community event for new and expecting mothers aims to ease the financial and emotional burden that can come with being a new mom.

Judy Diebold is an Administrative Assistant for Fruitland Fire and Rescue she shares why new mother should attend the event.

“If for nothing else, it will give you the opportunity to figure out if you qualify for assistance and were going to have a ton of door prizes. Every mom is guaranteed to walk away with something for their child” says Diebold.

Everyone attending will need to preregister ahead of time.

Pre-register by calling the Fruitland Fire Department at 573-243-6565 or email admin@fruitlandfire.com

The event will take place at the Cape County Cowboy Church from 1 pm to 4pm on May 17, 2025.

Some venders that will be in attendance are Options for Women, Safe Crib Program, Birthright, Lutheran Family Services and more.

You can also preregister on the Fruitland Area Fire Protection District Facebook page.
