Man arrested after firing at deputies, threatening grandparents in Labadie
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Authorities responded to a disturbance in Labadie on Sunday evening, leading to the arrest of a 33-year-old man who allegedly threatened to kill his grandparents.
Franklin County deputies arrived at the residence in the 2600 block of Highway MM at approximately 7:50 p.m. after receiving a report of threats. The suspect, who has not been named, failed to comply with verbal commands and discharged a firearm in the direction of deputies.
The Franklin County SWAT Team was activated, and deputies safely evacuated the grandparents. The suspect was taken into custody at approximately 1:00 a.m.
Charges are being filed with the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Metro Air Support of St. Louis for their assistance.
