Man found to be in U.S. illegally; wanted in multiple states arrested in Western Kentucky

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A traffic stop on I-24 led to the arrest of a California man who was found to be in the U.S. illegally and wanted in multiple states.

Bogdan Drapac, 41, of Sacramento, was stopped by a McCracken County Sheriff’s Office deputy on May 14 for speeding and aggressive driving.

Drapac allegedly provided forged documents, including a passport and driver’s license. Further investigation with Homeland Security revealed his true identity and that he had outstanding warrants in Romania, California and Texas.

Drapac was charged with traffic offenses, criminal possession of a forged instrument and giving an officer false identifying information.

He was lodged in the McCracken County Jail, where Homeland Security placed an immigration detainer on him.
