Gordonville Fire Protection District responds to two electrical structure fires
GORDONVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Gordonville Fire Protection District responded to two structure fires in the district this week, both caused by electrical issues.
On May 21, crews contained a fire in the 200 block of South Forester to the basement area, with the main floor sustaining smoke damage. No injuries were reported.
On May 23, firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 400 block of Dutchtown Loop, finding the building 50% engulfed in flames. Despite efforts, the structure was a total loss. Three residents escaped safely, but three animals perished.
The district extends its thoughts and prayers to the affected families and thanks mutual aid companies Jackson Fire Rescue, Millersville Rural Fire Protection District, Cape Girardeau Fire Department, Fruitland Area Fire Protection District, and East County FPD for their support.
