Violent confrontation: Man, allegedly struck with baseball bat
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Christopher L. Ramsey was arrested on June 5, 2025, in connection with an alleged assault at an apartment.
According to authorities, the victim reported being struck with a wooden baseball bat by Ramsey during an incident on June 4, 2025. The victim had gone to the emergency room for treatment but initially declined to contact law enforcement.
The victim’s friend reported the incident to police and provided photos of the victim’s injuries, which included a deep laceration on the head and a large bruise on the back.
Ramsey was initially contacted by officers but was released due to lack of detailed information. He was later taken into custody after the victim reported a second incident in which Ramsey allegedly broke into the apartment again and struck the victim with the bat.
Ramsey was advised of his arrest for assault and stated that he had been in a physical altercation with the victim on an earlier date. The damaged apartment window was valued at approximately $150.
