Sikeston man charged in robbery, assault cases

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — An 18-year-old Sikeston man has been charged in connection with a robbery and assault in New Madrid County.

Davion C. Thatch was taken into custody after deputies with the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle matching the description given by the victim.

The victim reported being approached by a group of individuals outside a business, struck several times in the head and injured. A semi-automatic rifle was retrieved from a vehicle and pointed at the victim.

Thatch has been charged with robbery, armed criminal action, and assault. A no-bond warrant has been issued.

Thatch is also being held on a warrant from Scott County for a separate incident in which he allegedly pointed a semi-automatic rifle at a victim. A $10,000 cash-only bond has been set.

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety is asking anyone with information about the incidents to contact them.
