Illinois State Police investigate fatal officer-involved shooting

CREAL SPRINGS, Ill., (KBSI) — Illinois State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left a man dead.

The shooting occurred Friday in the 23000 block of Pleasant Valley Road in Creal Springs.

Jesse Shelton, 43, of Marion, was killed in the incident.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office requested the state police investigation. No further information is available at this time.
