Poplar Bluff Police Department cited for fairness in traffic stops
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri Attorney General’s annual Vehicle Stop Report found no evidence of biased-based profiling or treatment by the Poplar Bluff Police Department during traffic stops.
The report also showed the department’s traffic stop, arrest and citation numbers were within the state average. Additionally, no bias-based profiling complaints were filed, and internal investigations found no evidence of bias.
Chief Danny Whiteley commended his officers for their impartiality, saying the department prides itself on fairness.
