Paducah Commission approves fiscal year 2026 budget
PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The Paducah Board of Commissioners has approved the Fiscal Year 2026 budget ordinance, which includes a balanced budget of $137.8 million.
City Manager Daron Jordan presented the budget address at a previous commission meeting, highlighting the collaborative process involving city departments and community needs.
The budget prioritizes fiscal responsibility, infrastructure investment, economic development, quality of life enhancements and public safety.
In other business, the commission:
— Received an update on the Riverfront Infrastructure Improvement Project, which includes construction of a new riverfront excursion pier.
— Discussed a spec building project in Industrial Park West, with a $2 million grant award from the Kentucky Product Development Initiative.
— Heard a presentation from the Paducah Cooperative Ministry on housing statistics and homelessness in McCracken County.
— Made appointments and reappointments to various boards and commissions.
— Approved a municipal order for executive search services related to the Hotel Metropolitan’s executive director position.
