Sewer agency project to close Greenway Trail, North 6th Street

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A construction project by the Paducah-McCracken County Joint Sewer Agency will require the temporary closure of the Greenway Trail and North 6th Street on Monday, June 16.

The closure, expected to last from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., will allow a subcontractor to pump concrete over the floodwall levee as part of a $12.6 million project to improve the combined sewer system.

The project is part of a larger $102 million effort to meet regulatory requirements. The work includes constructing a diversion station, pumping station, screening facilities and discharge piping.
