Cape Splash to host world’s largest swim lesson
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Cape Splash Family Aquatic Center will participate in the World’s Largest Swim Lesson on June 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The global event aims to raise awareness about the importance of teaching children to swim to prevent drowning.
According to organizers, drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children ages 1-4, and formal swim instruction can significantly reduce the risk.
The free lesson, designed for children ages 2-10, will focus on basic water safety skills and swim techniques led by certified instructors.
