Disaster Recovery Center to open in Wayne County, Missouri

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A Disaster Recovery Center will open Monday in Wayne County to assist residents affected by the severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and wildfires that occurred March 14-15.

The center, located at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Piedmont, will provide access to FEMA Individual Assistance staff and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Residents can receive help with disaster assistance applications, get answers to questions and upload required documents.

The center’s hours of operation will be:

— Monday, June 23: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

— June 24-28: 8 a.m.-7 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to apply for FEMA assistance online at Home | disasterassistance.gov or by calling 800-621-3362 before visiting the center.
