Kennett police officer charged with domestic assault

KENNETT, Mo. (KBSI) — A Kennett police officer has been charged with felony and misdemeanor domestic assault counts following an investigation by the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department.

James Fisher was arrested Tuesday and faces two felony counts and three misdemeanor counts of domestic assault.

Fisher was placed on administrative leave upon learning of the investigation and is no longer employed by the Kennett Police Department.
