Pedestrian struck by train at Illinois rail crossing

BENTON, Ill., (KBSI) — A male juvenile was struck by a train at a rail crossing on State Highway 14 (Bailey Lane), prompting an extended closure of the crossing.

The victim was airlifted to Franklin Hospital for treatment. The Illinois Department of Transportation has shut down the roadway.
