Leopold Volunteer Fire Protection District responds to arrest of board member

LEOPOLD, Mo., (KBSI) — The Leopold Volunteer Fire Protection District announced Friday that a member of its Board of Directors has been formally charged and arrested.

District officials said they take the allegations seriously and emphasized that the accused individual’s actions do not reflect the standards expected of board members and firefighters.

The district pledged to cooperate fully with investigations and asked for patience and understanding as the matter is addressed.

The individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
