Kentucky State Police investigate multiple shootings, officer-involved shooting
LEXINGTON, Ky., (KBSI) — The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team is investigating multiple shootings that occurred Sunday in Fayette County, including an officer-involved shooting.
The first incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Terminal Drive, near the Bluegrass Airport, where a KSP trooper was shot and seriously injured during a traffic stop.
The suspect, identified as 47-year-old Guy House of Lexington, allegedly fled the scene, stole a vehicle, and later shot four people at Richmond Road Baptist Church.
At least three Lexington police officers discharged their firearms, striking House, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two victims, 34-year-old Christina Combs and 72-year-old Beverly Gumm, both of Lexington, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others received life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, with KSP working to gather facts and protect the integrity of the case.
