Petition supporting SkyWest Airlines gathers 1,000 signatures

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A petition supporting SkyWest Airlines as the next commercial carrier at Barkley Regional Airport has garnered over 1,000 signatures from community members in just five days.

The petition, which will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Transportation, demonstrates local support for SkyWest Airlines under the Essential Air Service program.

Airport officials thanked the community for their overwhelming support, saying it will help shape the future of air travel in western Kentucky.
