Kentucky State Trooper remains hospitalized after Lexington shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky., (KBSI) — A Kentucky State Police trooper injured in a shooting incident in Lexington on July 13 remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Trooper Jude Remilien, a 3-year veteran of the agency, was shot during a traffic stop. The suspect, 47-year-old Guy House of Lexington, fled the scene and later stole a vehicle.

House was later confronted by Lexington police officers at Richmond Road Baptist Church, where he allegedly shot four people, killing two. Officers fatally shot House.

The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team is investigating the incident.
