Illinois State Police arrest 70-year-old on multiple counts

DU QUOIN, Ill., (KBSI) — A 70-year-old Du Quoin man has been arrested on multiple counts of possession and dissemination of child pornography.

Jon W. Montgomery was taken into custody July 23 and booked into the Perry County jail. A detention hearing is set for July 24.

Illinois State Police special agents executed a search warrant at Montgomery’s residence June 11 and seized electronic evidence that revealed child sexual abuse materials.

Montgomery faces seven counts of possession of child pornography and four counts of dissemination of child pornography involving victims under 13 years old.
