She’s Ready: Free safety event for young women entering college

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau Police Department is hosting a free, one-day empowerment and safety event for young women entering college.

The event, “She’s Ready,” will be held Aug. 7 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police department.

It will cover topics including situational awareness, alcohol awareness, mental health resources and basic self-defense skills.
