Perryville Police Chief Direk Hunt announces retirement plans

PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) – Perryville Police Chief Direk L. Hunt announced he will not seek re-election and plans to retire after the city election in April. Hunt shared his decision during the Perryville Board of Aldermen meeting on July 15.

Hunt submitted a letter to Mayor Larry Riney and board members, outlining his career and future plans. The city is expressing gratitude for Hunt’s dedication and service, which spans nearly four decades.
