Search warrant executed in Colp, Illinois; One person taken into custody

COLP, Ill., (KBSI) — Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Lincoln Street on July 30, seizing cocaine, pills, scales, packaging materials and other items.

Jacob R. Gottberg was taken into custody and cited with multiple offenses, including delivery and possession of a controlled substance.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office seized over $25,000 in cash and financial instruments under the Illinois Drug Asset Forfeiture Act.

Sheriff Jeff Diederich said the office remains committed to investigating and dismantling illegal drug networks.

Gottberg was transported to the Williamson County Jail.
