Hidden in Plain View: Free anti-substance abuse training for parents
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – A free interactive exhibit, “Hidden in Plain View,” will be held Aug. 4 from 2-6 p.m. at Central Junior High School.
The training, sponsored by the local health department, aims to educate parents, caregivers and adults who work with adolescents on current trends in youth substance use.
Participants will learn how to:
Identify drug paraphernalia and concealed alcohol and drugs
Spot warning signs of alcohol and drug use
Address concerns with their teens
Attendees will gain valuable insights and practical tips on how to navigate these sensitive issues.
