(KBSI) A closure on KY 1124 near Usher Road in Graves County will be extended until Wednesday, Aug. 6 for additional repair work.

A cross drain replacement project is underway on KY 1124 at mile point 2.7.

The roadway is expected to reopen by 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, weather permitting.

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to begin nighttime milling and paving along U.S. 641/12th Street in Calloway County starting on Thursday, Aug. 7.

The work zone will extend from mile point 6.6 to 11, or from near Tabard Drive to KY 80 in Murray.

Lane restrictions will be in place in both directions, with two paving crews operating simultaneously. Work will take place nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced daytime closures for the US 60/62 bridge over the Mississippi River at Cairo, Illinois, starting Aug. 11.

The bridge, which connects Alexander County, Illinois, with Mississippi County, Missouri, will be closed daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Aug. 11-15 and Aug. 18-22 for an annual safety inspection.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes during closure times. Closure dates are weather permitting.
