Memphis man arrested in connection with McCracken County credit card theft case

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Memphis, Tennessee, man in connection with a credit card theft case.

Antonio R. Thompson, 38, was taken into custody by the Gluckstadt Police Department in Mississippi after a traffic stop.

The arrest stemmed from a report filed on August 6, 2025, with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, in which a victim claimed their credit card information had been stolen and used fraudulently at a local store, resulting in losses exceeding $5,000.

Deputies obtained video footage of the suspect and vehicle, which led them to Thompson. He was arrested on local charges by the Gluckstadt Police Department and later served with an arrest warrant from the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Thompson faces charges of fraudulent use of a credit card, a Class D felony.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office credited the Gluckstadt Police Department and the Capitol Police Department for their assistance in the case.
