Mississippi County bridge replacements planned for Routes 77, 80
SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri Department of Transportation will replace four bridges on Route 77 and two bridges on Route 80 in Mississippi County, with construction potentially starting in spring 2027.
The bridges slated for replacement on Route 77 are:
– Lateral Ditch 3: Between County Road 312 and County Road 314, north of Deventer
– Main Ditch: Between County Road 334 and Route F
– Lateral Ditch 4: North of the Routes 77 and 80 intersection, known as Thirtyfour Corner
– Lateral Ditch 7: Between County Road 507 and County Road 502
On Route 80, the bridges to be replaced are:
– Drainage Ditch 23: Between County Road 515 and Route AA
– Drainage Ditch 29: West of the Routes 77 and 80 intersection, known as Thirtyfour Corner
Each bridge replacement will require a four-month closure of the roadway. Maps and plans are available for public inspection at MoDOT’s Sikeston District office.
