Man charged with unlawful possession of firearms
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Curtis Farmer, 41, of Cape Girardeau, has been charged with unlawful possession of firearms and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
Farmer was taken into custody on August 13, 2025, after a search warrant was executed at his residence in the 300-block of S. Hanover.
The investigation began on August 4, 2025, when officers responded to reports of multiple subjects pointing firearms at a vehicle in the 1100-block of William. Later that evening, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 300-block of S. Hanover.
An anonymous tip with a video led investigators to identify Farmer as a suspect. Further investigation revealed that Farmer is prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior felony convictions.
Farmer has been charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, a Class C felony, and one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm, a Class A misdemeanor.
He is being held on a $30,000 cash-only bond.
