Kentuckians affected by May tornadoes have one week left to apply for FEMA assistance
FRANKFORT, Ky., (KBSI) — Kentucky homeowners and renters in six counties affected by the May 16-17 tornadoes have until Aug. 22 to apply for federal disaster assistance.
The affected counties are Caldwell, Laurel, Pulaski, Russell, Trigg and Union.
Before applying, survivors are encouraged to file insurance claims for damage to their homes, personal property and vehicles.
To apply for FEMA assistance:

When applying, provide:
— Current phone number
— Address at the time of the disaster and current address
— Social Security Number
— List of damage and losses

— Insurance policy number or agent/company name
