Perryville High School delays start of classes

PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Perry County School District #32 Board of Education has delayed the start of classes at Perryville High School and the Perryville Area Career and Technology Center until Aug. 25.

The original start date was Aug. 20. Other District 32 schools will begin classes as scheduled on Aug. 20.

The delay will allow teachers and staff more time to set up temporary classrooms and prepare for the year.

PHS suffered significant damage in a March 14 tornado, and construction is underway on temporary classrooms.
