New principal named at Lake Road Elementary

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Megan Miller has been hired as the new principal of Lake Road Elementary, returning to her hometown after gaining over a decade of experience in educational administration.

Miller, a 2005 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School, succeeds Dr. Rondi Vaughn, who has been promoted to assistant superintendent of curriculum.

Miller previously served as an elementary assistant principal in Dexter and has experience implementing academic, behavioral and social-emotional learning initiatives.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in physical education and health from Missouri State University and is currently working on her dissertation through William Woods University.

Lake Road Elementary is a Blue-Ribbon school and has received numerous awards for its positive behavioral interventions and supports implementation.
