Truck strikes home shutting down street in Murphysboro

MURPHYSBORO, Ill., (KBSI) — UPDATE: The road is open and clear.

Authorities were on the scene of an accident in the 200 block of South 8th Street where a truck struck a residence, August 20, 2025.

The incident occurred near St. Andrew Catholic Church. No injuries have been reported.

The road is closed until further notice for crash cleanup.
