Paducah Police Department announces funeral procession route for Sgt. Ryan Hudson

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The Paducah Police Department has released the funeral procession route for Sgt. Ryan Hudson, who died Aug. 12. The community is invited to pay their respects as the procession moves through the city on Saturday, Aug. 23.

Hudson’s funeral will begin at 11 a.m. at Heartland Worship Center. Following the service, the procession is expected to depart between noon and 12:30 p.m., traveling to Maplelawn Park Cemetery. The route will include a pass by the Paducah Police Department, where a memorial to Hudson stands.

The route is as follows:

Depart Heartland Worship Center

Turn left onto Alben Barkley Drive (U.S. 62 W), continue 1.3 miles

Turn left onto Lone Oak Road, continue 0.5 miles

Turn right onto Broadway, continue 1.5 miles

Turn left onto North 13th Street, continue 1 mile to the cemetery

Police said temporary road closures and traffic delays should be expected. Community members are encouraged to gather along the route to honor Hudson with flags, signs of support or quiet tribute.

Hudson was remembered by the department as a dedicated officer who served with honor and distinction.
