CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Old Town Cape will host a reception Sept. 5 to unveil the 2025 Downtown Sculpture Exhibition, which will feature six large-scale works installed along the Broadway corridor in Cape Girardeau’s historic downtown district.

The event will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Broadway Bistro & Event Center, where visitors can meet the artists and learn more about the exhibition. The evening will also include the “Tunes at Twilight” outdoor concert from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and coincide with First Friday with the Arts.

The 2025 exhibition was selected through a juried process open to local, regional and national sculptors. The works will remain on display along Broadway from September 2025 through June 2026, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to experience public art in the city’s riverfront downtown.

The exhibition is supported by the Downtown Cape Girardeau Community Improvement District and the City of Cape Girardeau. Broadway Bistro & Event Center donated its venue space for the reception.
