PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — An 18-year-old Paducah man has been arrested in connection with a violent assault that left a man hospitalized with serious injuries, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they were dispatched Aug. 30 to the 7000 block of Noble Road after receiving a welfare check call. When they arrived, they found a man walking along the road covered in blood. The man told deputies he had been assaulted and was taken to a hospital with incapacitating injuries.
Detectives determined the victim had arranged to meet with a man later identified as Corban Koster. During the encounter, investigators said Koster attacked the victim with a ratchet, stole his belongings and forced him into the trunk of a vehicle. He then drove to Noble Road and left the victim there.
On Sept. 2, deputies and detectives located Koster at a residence in the 6000 block of Greenfield Drive, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Koster is charged with kidnapping, first-degree assault and first-degree robbery, all Class B felonies. The investigation remains ongoing.
